Introduced in 1936, the Catalina is possibly the most well known amphibian aircraft. There is still several flying Catalinas. If you want to learn more about the plane I recommend the Wikipedia article.
There is only one kit released of the Catalina in this scale. It was released in 1995 by Monogram and has since been released six more versions by Monogram and Revell. This is the latest release done in 2014. It's a decent kit but the age is apparent in some aspects.
